Pastor's Message
What NOW?Things have changed for Fernvale Community Church during the last several days. We will never again enjoy our historic church building as we worship together, but things change in life everyday. One of the greatest lessons we can learn when we are challenged with change is how to deal with the change. Regardless of how much we wish time would allow us to go back or redo events, meetings, actions and even statements; we cannot. What has taken place has passed and cannot be redone or reshaped. The journey of life does not have a rewind button. We cannot reverse the past. We have to simply learn from the past and begin to move forward. We may find ourselves asking, "What NOW?'. "What NOW" is not something that we like to ask because we prefer to know what is next in our lives. We generally do not like the unknown but God often has His greatest blessings awaiting His children that move forward in faith and are not overly concerned with the question of "What NOW?" Abraham had to get up and move before God showed him all of the land the Israelites would have one day. Moses had to stop praying and move the people of Israel forward into the Red Sea before the Sea parted for their passage. The family of Fernvale must follow suit and move forward, keep reaching out and striving to shine as He (God) opens up the flood gates of blessings upon us. In the next months there will be questions, challenges, fears, doubts, victories, and more changes, but God's blessings are waiting. We will have to be patient, kind, understanding and flexible. We will be put to the test and believe me when I say that the community around us is watching, very carefully. I truly believe that the best is yet to come for our church family and history will show that one of the greatest blessings that God allowed was the Tornado of 2008. Be sure you have a front row seat in order to watch how God works. Invite others to come and be a part of the growing and loving family of God in Fernvale! What Now?
