Pastor's Message
Love is in the Air!Well, I must admit that I am not sure that Love is in the Air, but I do hope that there is Love in your world. The Love of Christ is one of the sure things in each of our worlds. Remember the passage in Romans? "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor death, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus or Lord." During the month of February we have Valentine's Day. There is candy, flowers, cards and countless other things given and received in an effort to express our love to each other. The actions of God are proven facts of His Love for us. John 3:16 states "For God so loved"... You and me and everyone else ... "that He gave His only begotten Son..." That is without question the greatest act of love known to any of us. But how do we show our love for Christ? Do we celebrate one day a year with a gift? Do we buy something special and give it to Him? Maybe we need to think about how we show our love for Christ. Maybe we should spend more time with Him in prayer and the reading of His word, in order to know him better. For if we know Christ better and communicate with Him on a regular basis, we just may be more apt to understand ways in which we can express our love for Him and to Him.
